# OlonJS — Build schema-driven websites with Next.js

> OlonJS is a Next.js content framework for building schema-driven websites with composable sections, first-class collections, and a visual Studio editor.

Welcome to OlonJS — a Next.js framework for building content-rich websites from structured JSON data and Zod schemas. Instead of wiring up a CMS or writing bespoke data-fetching logic, you define your pages and collections as typed schemas, author content as plain JSON files, and let OlonJS handle routing, rendering, and data baking. The built-in Studio visual editor lets you edit any section on any page without ever touching code.

    Every page is a JSON file validated against a Zod schema. Add a new section by adding a typed object — no database migrations required.

    The built-in `/admin` Studio surfaces a live editing UI for every section and collection item, driven entirely by your Zod schemas.

  <Card title="Static-first architecture" icon="rocket" href="/project-structure">
    The prebuild step bakes all data into `public/` for zero-latency static serving. Pages, collections, schemas, and MCP manifests are all flat files.

<Tip>
  Every OlonJS project automatically generates an `mcp-manifest.json` at build time. AI agents and tools that support the Model Context Protocol can read this manifest to discover and interact with your site's content schema — no extra configuration needed.
